- Mentor first-year students in the College of Agriculture.
- Engage in classroom discussions within small groups organized by faculty and staff.
- Assist in leading specialized course projects in the campus community.
- Participate in key first-year student transition and retention events throughout the fall semester.
- Assist with weekly First-year Seminar course at least one day a week.
                              
                              - Monday or Wednesday: 10:30 – 11:50 a.m.; 11:30 am – 12:50 p.m.; 1:30 – 2:50 p.m.
- Tuesday or Thursday: 1:30 – 2:50 p.m.
 
- Enrolled in a major in the LSU College of Agriculture, have a 2.5 minimum GPA, and be committed to serving in the fall semester.
- Availability of up to an additional 4 hours a week for meetings, trainings, and planning sessions.
- Have a passion for helping other students develop skills for success in their college careers.
- January 1: Applications open for Fall 2025 Peer Mentors
- February 4: Peer Mentor Info Session 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., 150 Martin D. Woodin Hall
- February 21: Applications due by 12:00 p.m. (noon)
- February 21: Applicants invited to schedule virtual interviews
- February 25-26: Virtual interviews
- March 7: The 2025 Peer Mentor Team announced
