Become a friend of the museum today

Membership makes a difference.  The Friends of the LSU Textile & Costume Museum is an educational non-profit organization established to support the LSU Textile & Costume Museum in its efforts in education, research, artifact conservation, and public service.   Annual membership campaigns, fundraising, and volunteer activities provide such assistance, enabling the Museum to provide quality exhibitions and build its collections.  Members enjoy newsletters and invitations to educational programs and special activities sponsored by the Museum.

Pledge Your Support

The goals of the LSU Textile & Costume Museum are to preserve and enhance its collections and develop a nationally-recognized research facility. To accomplish this, the museum must grow beyond its current size and space allocation. When you pledge your financial support, you can help us add a rare textile piece, purchase a designer garment, or reach our ultimate goal---new renovations!

Pam Rabalais-Vinci LSU Textile and Costume Museum Exhibition Fund

Pam Rabalais-Vinci

Pam Vinci- Former Curator for the LSU Textile & Costume Museum

During Pam's tenure as Curator, our holdings grew significantly as she nurtured relationships with donors. Her efforts in grant writing raised over $500,000 to support the museum infrastructure, and she has curated over twenty exhibitions and countless displays at various fundraisers and events. With style, grace, and humility Pam has tenaciously supported the Textile & Costume Museum (TCM) and the many students that have had the pleasure of her mentorship. She also taught various courses across the fashion merchandising and design curriculum, led study tours, and supervised our internship program for many years. Many alumni fondly remember their time as a student of Pam. She is a friend and ray of sunshine to all who know her; we were lucky to have had her in the Textiles, Apparel Design, and Merchandising department. Pam retired from LSU on May 31, 2023.

Funds received for the Pam Rabalais-Vinci LSU Textile and Costume Museum Exhibition Fund will support TCM exhibitions as we disseminate knowledge through curatorial practice, student engagement, and community outreach.
