BATON ROUGE, LA - The LSU College of Engineering recently held its third Evening of Engineering Excellence at the LSU Faculty Club on April 16, inducting several new members into its Society for Engineering Excellence and Hall of Distinction.

The U.S. Department of Energy and Argonne National Laboratory recently selected LSU to participate in the EcoCAR Innovation Challenge, an Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition that challenges university teams to apply cutting-edge engineering to real vehicles while developing the technical, leadership, and project management skills needed for careers in automotive engineering, transportation, and advanced manufacturing.

K. Renee Horton’s path to helping power humanity’s return to the moon didn’t follow a straight line. A Baton Rouge native and LSU graduate, Horton turned early setbacks into fuel, ultimately carving out a career at NASA that connects her directly to the Artemis program.
